"Today, the world economy and international economic and trade cooperation are confronted with new difficulties and challenges. As President Xi Jinping noted global development is now at a critical crossroads. I think it is exactly at times like this that we must think deeply about how the global economy and trade will evolve, what kind of economic and trade order our world needs and how we should strengthen cooperation and tackle challenges to promote common development and prosperity," Li said.

The premier called for resolving disputes and differences through equal consultations.

Noting that it is normal for disputes and differences to arise in economic and trade exchanges among countries, the premier said that as long as countries engage in dialogue and consultation based on mutual respect, solutions can always be found.

The premier also stressed efforts to safeguard the common interests through mutually beneficial cooperation.

Facing global challenges, it is important to strengthen macro policy coordination among countries to ensure the stability of the global industrial and supply chains, the premier stressed, calling for closer cooperation among all countries to strengthen the security and resilience of their development.

Li further said that China will continue to deepen its integration and connectivity with the world market and strengthen industrial collaboration with various countries.

With the theme "Entrepreneurship for a New Era", the Summer Davos is held from Tuesday to Thursday, gathering over 1,700 leading figures from more than 90 countries and regions to explore how entrepreneurship and emerging technologies can unlock more dynamic and resilient economies.

South Korean President Lee Jae Myung said on Wednesday that Seoul firmly adheres to the one-China principle, in comments made ahead of his upcoming state visit to China.

The remarks were made in an interview with China Media Group (CMG). The visit is scheduled for Jan 4–7.

"The consensus reached between governments of the Republic of Korea and China when diplomatic relations were established continues to be the fundamental principle governing our relations, and its effectiveness remains steadfast. I want to clearly state that the ROK has always adhered to the one-China principle. Maintaining peace and stability in regional matters, including in Northeast Asia and concerning the Taiwan issue, holds significant importance to us," said Lee.

"The foundational relationship between the ROK and China was established on a very principled and fundamental basis from the beginning. It is clear that the ROK government has always adhered to this position and has never wavered from it. I believe that the sound development of ROK-China relations depends on both sides fully respecting each other's core interests and being mutually tolerant of each other's positions. In this context, we will, as always, uphold the one-China principle as the Taiwan issue is China's most fundamental concern," he said.
