China is ready to work with Ecuador to further deepen and solidify the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries, Chinese President Xi Jinping said during his meeting with Ecuadorian President Daniel Noboa in Beijing on Friday.
Xi extended his welcome to Noboa, who is in China to attend the 2025 Summer Davos forum, and recalled his state visit to the South American country back in 2016.
"China-Ecuador relations have been enjoying a sound momentum of growth in recent years. This year marks the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Ecuador. China always views its relations with Ecuador from a strategic height and long-term perspective, and stands ready to join hands with Ecuador to further deepen and solidify our comprehensive strategic partnership, so as to better benefit the people of the two countries," Xi said.
For his part, President Noboa said that Ecuador will always remember China's support.
"China's achievements over the years are impressive. Only by cooperating with countries like China that have made huge development and achievements, can we better realize the long-cherished aspiration of the people," he said.
