After shattering virtually every box office record in Chinese film history, "Ne Zha 2" will conclude its theatrical run on the Chinese mainland on Monday.

According to ticketing platform Maoyan, the animated blockbuster has grossed 15.44 billion yuan -- or approximately 2.13 billion U.S. dollars -- with 324 million tickets sold.

The movie’s 113 box office records include topping China's all-time box office chart, ranking first in Chinese cinema admissions, and being the highest-grossing animated film in world history.

Even as the film's domestic run draws to a close, its global rollout continues and it has racked up 15.91 billion yuan, or about 2.19 billion U.S. dollars, in overseas ticket sales, according to Maoyan data.

The sequel to the 2019 hit "Ne Zha" has not only eclipsed its predecessor but also outperformed nearly every cinematic competitor -- domestic or foreign -- since its release on Jan. 29, during Chinese New Year.

"Ne Zha 2" now ranks among the five highest-grossing films of all time globally, along with "Avatar," "Avengers: Endgame," "Avatar: The Way of Water," and "Titanic." It is the top-grossing animated feature in history, surpassing the likes of Pixar's "Inside Out 2" and Disney's 2019 remake of "The Lion King."

Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced Wednesday it had launched the 89th wave of Operation True Promise 4, carrying out strikes against U.S. and Israeli targets in the region.

The IRGC said in a statement that Iran and various resistance fronts, through coordinated operations, used heavy missiles, attack drones, and rockets to strike U.S. military bases and Israeli targets.

The statement said the operation targeted Israeli military facilities and assembly points in Eilat, Tel Aviv, Bnei Brak, and other locations, and claimed that, according to local sources, it had caused significant Israeli casualties.

The IRGC also stated that it had hit a location in Bahrain housing 80 U.S. troops, and Iranian ballistic missiles struck a U.S. helicopter formation at a base in Kuwait, destroying one helicopter and damaging others.
