Jixian County in northeast China's Heilongjiang Province has been boosting summer economy by using natural scenery resources and seasonal tourism site customization.
During the hot summer, the county transformed part of the Qixingshan National Forest Park, an ice and snow resort in winter, into a forest alpine rafting zone. Visitors can experience the thrill of rapid dives and sharp turns on the 9.8-kilometer-long river with a vertical drop of 160 meters.
"The water here is cooler and clearer, and it's more comfortable," said tourist Gao Wangling.
Meanwhile, the Anbang River Wetland Park in Jixian County also attracted flocks of visitors with its natural scenery. People can take a boat ride or stroll along the riverside trail, observe migratory birds, experience rural life, and taste local specialties.
"I can take my children into nature without leaving home to see lotus flowers, wetlands, and birds," said local resident Li Meng.
