Russia said on Thursday that its forces had seized two more settlements in Donetsk region, while Ukraine, on the same day, reported striking a Russian refinery.
According to a statement released by the Russian Ministry of Defense, Russian forces carried out strikes on 147 locations, including Ukrainian drone storage sites, ammunition depots, temporary deployment points of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, and temporary deployment points of foreign mercenaries.
The statement also said that the Russian air defense forces shot down four guided bombs and 268 drones.
Also on Thursday, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported that the Ukrainian forces engaged in a total of 148 combats with Russian forces.
It also said that the Ukrainian forces have reinforced their defenses by deploying additional troops and equipment toward the Dobropillia and Pokrovsk directions. In addition, in the early hours of the day, Ukrainian forces carried out a drone strike on a refinery in Volgograd, Russia, sparking a large fire at the facility. The exact damage is yet to be assessed, according to the Ukrainian military.
