Russia said on Sunday that it had carried out massive strikes on temporary deployment sites of Ukrainian armed forces and foreign mercenaries in 142 areas, while Ukraine, on the same day, reported attacking a train station serving as a critical logistics hub for Russian military ammunition transport in Voronezh region.

The Russian Defense Ministry said over the past 24 hours, Russian troops struck a missile storage site, ammunition depots and warehouses of long-range unmanned aerial vehicles in Ukraine.

Russian air defense forces shot down 300 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) over the past day and intercepted a Ukrainian UAV on a nuclear power plant in Smolensk region, the ministry said.

Also on Sunday, Kherson region's Governor Vladimir Saldo said on social media that the Ukrainian armed forces were "preparing to flee Kherson" and had installed anti-drone nets at all exits of the region to ensure a safe retreat.

Ukraine has not responded to this.

Meanwhile, infrastructure at the Liski railway station in Voronezh region, used to supply ammunition to the front, was hit in an operation by the Main Intelligence Directorate under the Ukrainian Defense Ministry, the Ukrinform news agency reported on Sunday.

As a result, railway traffic through the station was halted, disrupting the supply of ammunition and Russian personnel, the report said.

The Ukrainian Defense Ministry's Main Intelligence Directorate said Ukrainian forces on Saturday attacked an ammunition depot and a troop gathering point in Melitopol in Zaporizhzhia region.

China and Canada should work together to promote the stable, healthy and sustainable development of bilateral economic and trade relations, Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng said in Beijing on Friday.

He, also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, made the remarks while attending the Canada-China Trade and Investment Banquet together with the visiting Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney.

Speaking at the event, He said that under the strategic guidance of the important consensus reached by their leaders, China and Canada should adhere to the principles of mutual respect, peaceful coexistence, win-win cooperation, and mutual success, and jointly promote the stable, healthy, and sustainable development of bilateral economic and trade relations.

China is steadfastly expanding high-standard opening up, continuously developing new quality productive forces, and is willing to work with countries around the world, including Canada, to create new prospects for cooperation, said He.

Carney noted at the banquet that China is Canada's second-largest trading partner and said Canada looks forward to strengthening high-level exchanges with China, making full use of dialogue mechanisms in areas such as the economy and trade, and deepening cooperation in trade, agriculture, energy and other fields.

Carney arrived in Beijing on Wednesday to begin a four-day official visit to China, marking the first trip to the country by a Canadian prime minister in eight years.
