CharmHealth also awarded three companies with Honorable Mention recognition: A Pound of Cure, Vibrant, and National Nurse Practitioner Entrepreneur Network (NNPEN).

“This year’s Innovation Challenge class was absolutely stellar. Our finalists presented an impressive range of world-changing ideas, products and services driven by data and AI,” said Pramila Srinivasan, Ph.D., CEO of CharmHealth. “The incredible engagement from universities, accelerators, nonprofits and entrepreneurs shows the Innovation Challenge has become a recognized hub for healthcare innovation.”

Investing in the Future of Care

The Innovation Challenge is a cornerstone of CharmHealth’s mission to improve healthcare for all. The Challenge stemmed out of CharmHealth’s commitment to collaboration and community, the core components that enable innovation to thrive and address the most pressing needs of providers, patients and healthcare organizations.

While the Innovation Challenge has consistently surfaced bold healthtech ideas since its inception, 2025 in particular yielded its largest number of submissions to date. Digital health innovators, entrepreneurs and thought leaders, including participants from top accelerators like UC Berkeley’s Health Engine, completed proposals across five categories: Mobile Health Apps, Healthcare Accessibility, Tech-led Innovations, Population Health, and new this year, Agentic AI. The emphasis on identifying and strategically applying AI to healthcare was added to underscore CharmHealth’s forward-looking vision and leadership, encouraging a new batch of startups to consider developing novel solutions for the industry.

After a careful review of all proposals across categories, CharmHealth invited its 17 finalists for a Pitch Day competition at Charmalot. There, finalists showcased their solutions to conference attendees who voted for their favorites in a dedicated event app. The six companies with the most votes advanced to the stage for 10-minute live pitches in front of an esteemed panel of judges to compete for recognition, opportunities and funding.

Finalists are invited to work with ecosystem partners to refine, test and scale their solutions more effectively. They also unlock greater visibility through CharmHealthHub, the dynamic marketplace that connects innovative offerings with a broad network of healthcare providers and organizations to showcase, integrate and scale solutions.
