Chinese tourists are flocking to cultural and scenic attractions during the National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holiday, which runs from October 1 to 8.
In Wuhan, the provincial capital of Hubei in central China, a parade featuring 23 large floats and 38 groups of performers wound its way through the city on Wednesday to celebrate National Day.
The floats will travel to different scenic areas and commercial districts across the city for all eight days of the holiday.
In Shenyang, capital of northeast China's Liaoning Province, low-altitude aviation performances provided citizens and tourists with a novel holiday experience.
In Suining, southwest China's Sichuan Province and Nanning in south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, people celebrated the holiday with a series of lively performances.
In Huaining, east China's Anhui Province, over 30 public benefit performances brought culture and art on to the streets.
Over 400,000 visitors congregated at Beijing's major scenic spots, including the Summer Palace and the Old Summer Palace, where centennial osmanthus trees and themed flower beds brought a burst of color for the holiday.
At Taiping Lake Forest Park in Mile in southwest China's Yunnan Province, thousands of acres of lilies are in bloom across a brilliant sea of flowers.
The Old Town of Fenghuang in western Hunan Province in central China saw a large number of visitors on the first day of the holiday, with estimates saying 5 to 10 percent more visitors were in the Old Town compared to the same period last year.
