Tourist attractions across China are using their abundant cultural resources to expand their tourism offerings, creating more engaging and immersive experiences to visitors during the National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holiday, which runs from October 1 to 8.

In Beijing, the Badachu Park has launched a series of activities to extend wonderful wishes to the nation, including Fu character rubbing, an intangible cultural heritage-themed fair, National Day-themed performances, and an ecological photo exhibition.

At an exhibition on telegraph in the park, visitors can not only try sending and decrypting telegraph messages, but also learn the history of telegraph in the revolution era from youngsters who serve as tour guides.

In Gaotang County, east China's Shandong Province, a calligraphy and painting cultural center is offering a venue for children and their parents to experience woodblock printing during the holiday.

"My child had only seen woodblock printing in textbooks and videos before. This time, she has tried it herself at the cultural center, giving a more intuitive understanding of this traditional culture," said Zhang Yue, a visitor.

In Juxian County of Shandong Province, the ancient city of Ju -- a state during the Spring and Autumn period (770 B.C.-476 B.C.) -- is staging flash mob performances to attract visitors during the holiday.

The ancient city, known for its thousands of years of history, red culture, and traditional techniques listed as intangible cultural heritages, receives more than 8.1 million tourists per year.

Meanwhile, Jingzhou City in central China's Hubei Province has developed multiple live-action dramas to create immersive experiences for tourists.

During the holiday, China's first panoramic and fully immersive theater theme park "Unique Henan, Drama City" in Zhenzhou, capital of central China's Henan Province has increased performances, optimized queue services, and launched diversified China-chic cultural products, which have been well received by visitors.

"The theme park is staging 21 dramas one after another throughout the day. We have also launched a series of China-chic cultural products with traditional culture and intangible cultural heritage elements at the core," said Liu Kaipeng, an employee at the theme park.

In the Yin Ruins Museum in Anyang City of Henan, various kinds of cultural products on display at the gift shop have caught the eyes of numerous tourists with their exquisite design and stories behind them.
