4.7-magnitude quake jolts Sichuan county, no casualties reported

A 4.7-magnitude earthquake struck Lushan County of Ya'an City in southwest China's Sichuan Province on Sunday, with no casualties or damage to homes reported as yet , said the Provincial Department of Emergency Management.

According to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC), the earthquake happened at 15:21 on Sunday at a depth of 10 kilometers.

The tremors were also felt in Chengdu, Leshan and other cities in Sichuan.

Oil prices declined on Monday.

The West Texas Intermediate for December delivery dropped 18 cents, or 0.3 percent, to settle at 59.91 U.S. dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for January delivery lost 19 cents, or 0.3 percent, to settle at 64.20 dollars a barrel on the London ICE Futures Exchange.
