The U.S. dollar weakened in late trading on Thursday.
The dollar index, which measures the greenback against six major peers, decreased by 0.46 percent to 98.341 at 3 p.m. (1900 GMT).
In late New York trading, the euro increased to 1.1689 dollars from 1.1633 dollars in the previous session, and the British pound added to 1.3436 dollars from 1.3383 dollars in the previous session.
The U.S. dollar bought 150.30 Japanese yen, lower than 151.33 Japanese yen in the previous session. The U.S. dollar fell to 0.7934 Swiss francs from 0.7975 Swiss francs, and it dropped to 1.4046 Canadian dollars from 1.4052 Canadian dollars. The U.S. dollar was down to 9.4201 Swedish kronor from 9.4855 Swedish kronor.
