Gardening products that incorporate innovative technologies to help people better grow plants are gaining greater popularity at the ongoing 138th China Import and Export Fair, commonly known as the Canton Fair, being held in Guangdong Province, south China.

In the gardening exhibition area, visitors are drawn by not only high-rise trees and vibrant flowers, but also innovative smart devices.

Among the standout exhibits are hydroponic planting devices, which feature automatic water circulation systems and light settings tailored to different plants.

"People are impressed by the novelty of our products. Our products are mainly promoted in the European and American markets, and our customers from those countries are very happy to see this year's new offerings," said Huang Xiaoling, an exhibitor.

Other popular items are flowerpots with transparent tubes for easy water-level monitoring. These pots also feature a base reservoir that automatically filters, stores, and absorbs water as needed.

"Innovation is definitely our key strength. At this year's Canton Fair, 90 percent of our products are new, primarily focusing on enhanced functionality. For instance, we have products powered with designs that eliminate transplanting and prevent root rot. We expect to engage with around 700 clients during the event," added Liu Zixue, another exhibitor.
