Russian forces are continuing their attacks on the encircled Ukrainian army in Krasnoarmeysk (known as Pokrovsk in Ukraine) in Donetsk region while the Ukrainian troops claimed to have stricken a Russian oil refinery, according to two separate war reports released by the two countries on Tuesday.

The Russian Defense Ministry reported that over the past 24 hours, Russian forces had launched offensives in the Sumy, Kharkiv, Donetsk, and Zaporizhzhia directions. In Krasnoarmeysk, Russian troops continued their assaults on Ukrainian forces, thwarting attempts by encircled Ukrainian soldiers to break out.

In Kupiansk, Kharkiv Oblast, Russian forces, who have taken full control of the city’s eastern part, continued to strike the encircled Ukrainian troops.

The report released by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Tuesday said that over the past day, the Ukrainian forces had repelled Russian offensives in multiple directions. In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian troops repelled 63 Russian assaults. The National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine reported on the same day that the Ukrainian forces had used drones to attack Russia's Saratov oil refinery.

The Ukrainian Air Force reported that starting from 18:00 local time on Monday, Russian forces had launched attacks using 119 drones against Ukraine, primarily targeting frontline areas such as Donetsk, Kharkiv, and Odessa.

As of 09:30 local time on Tuesday, Ukrainian defense forces had successfully shot down or suppressed 53 of these drones, it added.

The Kyiv municipal government said on Tuesday that due to large-scale attacks by Russia on Ukrainian infrastructure, power cuts will be implemented in Kyiv, and temporary adjustments may be made to power and transportation operations.
