The Netherlands should show sincerity in working with China and present a substantive and constructive solution to the Nexperia issue, Ministry of Commerce spokesman He Yadong said on Thursday.
He made the statement at a press conference in Beijing when asked to comment on recent issues related to Nexperia, an overseas subsidiary of Chinese company Wingtech.
"Since the Nexperia issue arose, China has, in a responsible manner with maintaining the stability and security of the global semiconductor industrial and supply chain in mind, engaged in multiple rounds of consultations with the Dutch side, and also agreed to the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs' request to send representatives to China for consultations," said the spokesman.
"We hope the Dutch side will demonstrate its sincerity in cooperation with China, promptly propose a substantive and constructive solution to the issue, and take concrete actions to swiftly and effectively restore security and stability of the global semiconductor industrial and supply chain at the source," he said.
