Giant pandas at the China Conservation and Research Center for the Giant Panda (CCRCGP) in southwest China's Sichuan Province have recently been caught on camera showing off moves that a circus contortionist would be proud of.

In one piece of video footage, female giant panda Qing Si can be seen wrapping herself around the seat and armrest of a park bench.

Qing Si was born on August 2, 2025 at the CCRCGP to mother Jia Mei.

In another video, male giant panda Xin Qiao shows off his moves, twisting and hanging upside down in a tree at the sanctuary.

Xin Qiao was born in August 2024 at the Shenshuping base of the Wolong National Nature Reserve to mother Mei Mei.

The CCRCGP is a world-leading institution dedicated to the breeding and conservation of one of China's national treasures, the giant panda. The center has established a global platform for promoting international cooperation and exchanges involving 18 zoos from 16 countries and regions, 39 domestic animal breeding institutions, and over 10 scientific research institutes.
