Continuing bilateral tensions have led to more cancellations of flights between China and Japan, according to TravelSky, a Chinese company specialized in providing information service for air travel and tourism industry.
Date collected on Monday show the cancellations of scheduled flights between China and Japan for the coming week increased by 56 percent from the same period of last month.
Ticket bookings for Japan-bound flights started to show a declining trend after China's major airlines announced on November 15 special refund and rebooking arrangements for passengers following a security alert from China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Chinese embassies in Japan.
As of Monday, bookings for flights from China to Japan for the next 60 days have decreased by approximately 29 percent compared with the bookings recorded on November 15 for the same period.
