The AERO Asia 2025 wrapped up Sunday in south China's Guangdong Province with the numbers of exhibits and visitors both reaching new highs, marking a milestone for Asia's premier general aviation expo.

Running under the theme "A New Era: Explore More," the biennial show attracted more than 380 enterprises from 22 countries and regions to the city of Zhuhai, with a focus on autonomy, intelligence, and low-carbon solutions.

The number of visitors to this year's four-day expo reached 75,000, with an exhibition area of 60,000 square meters and 174 aircraft on display, setting a new historical record in scale.

The South African AERO aerobatic team and China's Hongxing (Red Star) aerobatic team staged outstanding performances at the AERO Asia show together. The Hongxing is the first aerobatic team in China composed entirely of retired senior air force flight instructors, with an average age of over 50.

The show was co-organized by Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd and Zhuhai Airshow Group Co., Ltd.

The Asia region is a key driver of growth for the global sector, due to favorable demographics, green transformation, and the emergence of the low-altitude economy, with China in particular propelling the industry forward, according to Messe Frankfurt.

Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced Wednesday it had launched the 89th wave of Operation True Promise 4, carrying out strikes against U.S. and Israeli targets in the region.

The IRGC said in a statement that Iran and various resistance fronts, through coordinated operations, used heavy missiles, attack drones, and rockets to strike U.S. military bases and Israeli targets.

The statement said the operation targeted Israeli military facilities and assembly points in Eilat, Tel Aviv, Bnei Brak, and other locations, and claimed that, according to local sources, it had caused significant Israeli casualties.

The IRGC also stated that it had hit a location in Bahrain housing 80 U.S. troops, and Iranian ballistic missiles struck a U.S. helicopter formation at a base in Kuwait, destroying one helicopter and damaging others.
