Clashes at the Thailand-Cambodia border persist as both nations accuse each other of instigating the recent wave of attacks.
According to a news conference held by Thailand's Ministry of Defense Monday, Cambodia fired on multiple locations along the Thai border using heavy artillery on the same day. Thailand responded with counterattacks.
The ministry also reported a day earlier that the recent clashes have resulted in the deaths of 16 Thai soldiers.
In a statement released by the Cambodian Ministry of National Defense on Monday, it was noted that the Thai military continued its assaults on various Cambodian sites, employing F-16 fighter jets and conducting shelling and drone strikes.
The Cambodian military remains vigilant and continues to closely monitor the situation.
Cambodian Ministry of Interior announced on Monday that the ongoing conflict has led to the deaths of 13 civilians, injuries of 74 others, and the displacement of over 400,000 people.
