The Russian Defense Ministry said on Thursday that its Tu-95MS strategic bombers and missile carriers completed a scheduled flight mission over neutral waters in the Barents and Norwegian Seas.

The flight lasted more than seven hours, and the Russian Navy's Su-33 fighter jet crew escorted the strategic bombers.

During some stages of the flight, foreign fighter jets accompanied the Russian strategic bombers, according to a statement of the ministry.

The Polish military said on the same day that its air defense forces intercepted a Russian reconnaissance aircraft over the Baltic Sea when it was flying near Polish airspace.
