U.S. President Donald Trump pledged on Sunday to give Europe his "full support" regarding Ukraine's security after meeting Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Florida.
Following the meeting, Trump held discussions with the leaders from Britain, Germany, NATO, and the European Union, describing their exchanges as highly productive and emphasizing the importance of close transatlantic cooperation.
Trump highlighted that Europe is expected to play a central role in ensuring Ukraine's security.
He also indicated that additional meetings in the Washington D.C. with the European leaders and Ukrainian officials could take place to coordinate efforts more closely.
Also on Sunday, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said that Europe is committed to working alongside the United States and Ukraine to strengthen the progress made in the talks.
She emphasized that the discussions maintained strong and reliable security assurances throughout.
Furthermore, French President Emmanuel Macron also said that outcomes have made to advance security guarantees for Ukraine.
The French president noted that he has viewed it as essential for a fair and lasting peace in Ukraine.
Macron added that a "Coalition of Willing" meeting will be held in Paris in early January 2026 to determine each country's contributions.
