All the 325 households whose houses were inundated by a flood in Yuzhong County, Lanzhou City of northwest China's Gansu Province in August 2025 have moved into new homes built to resettle them by the government.
Their new homes are in six resettlement sites in the town, with all supporting facilities as well as indoor and outdoor decorations.
The construction of the new houses started on September 2, and each flat consists of a front yard, a backyard and main houses.
The local government also sent a gift package for each family, containing home appliances like freezers and cookers, and other daily necessities such as bedding, rice, flour and cooking oil.
The region experienced heavy downpours and flash floods in August. The disaster had flooded farmlands, damaged houses, killed 10 people and left other 33 people missing.
