China stands ready to pursue mutual benefit and win-win results with the European Union (EU), Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun said at a regular press briefing in Beijing on Wednesday.

Guo refused to comment on relations between European countries and the United States after President Donald Trump's renewed tariff threats against European allies amid rising tension over Greenland have deepened the transatlantic rift.

"Regarding Greenland you've mentioned, China has made clear our position more than once. Regarding China-EU relations, China is committed to advancing mutually beneficial relations with European countries under the principle of mutual respect and win-win cooperation. We also hope that European countries will work with China in the same direction," Guo said.
