The United States has long been the biggest source of instability in cyberspace, a Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman said on Monday.
Mao Ning, the spokeswoman, made the remarks at a press briefing in response to a media query on the issue of cyber security.
"The U.S. has long been the biggest source of instability in cyberspace. Even before the development of AI, it had already conducted cyber attacks and prepositioning against China's critical infrastructure. The U.S. government also requires major sci-tech companies to directly serve U.S. geopolitical, political and military objectives, which has had a serious impact globally. China has explicitly lodged serious concerns with the U.S. side through various channels. We will take all necessary measures to resolutely safeguard our own cyber security," she said.
