Iran's sovereignty, security and territorial integrity should be respected, Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun said at a press briefing in Beijing on Monday.
"China opposes interference in other countries' internal affairs under any pretext, and Iran's sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity should be respected. China calls for an immediate stop to military operations, a return to dialog and negotiations as soon as possible, and preventing further escalation of tensions," said Guo.

U.S. President Donald Trump said on Sunday that any decision to end the ongoing military operation against Iran would be made "at the right time" and in mutual consultation with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, according to Israeli media reports.
The Times of Israel reported remarks made by Trump in a telephone interview which indicated that while Netanyahu will have some input, the ultimate decision rests with the U.S. president.
"We've been talking. I'll make a decision at the right time, but everything's going to be taken into account," Trump said.
When asked if Israel could continue the war against Iran even after the U.S. decides to halt its strikes, Trump declined to respond but said: "I don't think it's going to be necessary."
In another development, media reports on Sunday said that U.S. presidential envoy Steve Witkoff and entrepreneur Jared Kushner, Trump's son-in-law, plan to visit Israel on Tuesday, where they are expected to meet with Netanyahu.
