Hong Kong's stock market ended higher on Monday with the benchmark Hang Seng Index up 1.45 percent to close at 25,834.02 points.
The Hang Seng China Enterprises Index rose 1.67 percent to end at 8,816.32 points, and the Hang Seng Tech Index climbed 2.69 percent to end at 5,111.78 points.
The Hang Seng Tech Index, which represents the 30 largest technology companies listed in Hong Kong, jumped nearly 3 percent in the afternoon session.
Hong Kong stocks close higher Monday
Chinese stocks closed mixed on Monday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.26 percent to 4,084.79 points.
The Shenzhen Component Index closed 0.19 percent higher at 14,307.58 points.
The ChiNext Index, tracking China's Nasdaq-style board of growth enterprises, gained 1.41 percent to close at 3,357.02 points.
The ChiNext Index, together with the Shenzhen Component Index and other indices, reflects the performance of stocks listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange.
