Northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region continues to optimize its business environment while accelerating its integration into the unified national market, accumulating momentum for high-quality development.

Not long ago, the first resale business was officially completed in the comprehensive bonded zone in the prefecture of Kashgar. This type of transaction enables the transfer of domestic and foreign currencies without moving the goods within the bonded zone. It not only significantly shortens the processing time for such transactions but also greatly improves the efficiency of corporate capital turnover.

"The entire process is handled online in a one-stop manner. The full services provided by foreign exchange and banking authorities are efficient and convenient, giving enterprises greater confidence to root and grow here," said Aliye, financial manager of Xinjiang Zhongzhen International Trade Co., Ltd.

Since the beginning of this year, the Kashgar Prefecture has continued to improve its business environment, creating a total of 81 institutional innovation and practice cases. The Kashgar Area of China (Xinjiang) Pilot Free Trade Zone has seen 305 new enterprises, a year-on-year increase of 13.38 percent.

The 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-2030) for national economic and social development outlines the goal of building a first-class business environment.

In March this year, Xinjiang issued the "2026 action plan for tackling key challenges in optimizing the business environment of the autonomous region", launching five major special initiatives and introducing 16 specific measures targeting the bottlenecks and difficulties hindering the development of business entities.

"By taking the optimization of the business environment as a breakthrough point, Xinjiang is striving to make its business environment the best advantage for development and competition. This will attract and support enterprises of all types to invest and operate in Xinjiang, accelerate its integration into the unified national market, and strive to achieve a strong start for high-quality development during the 15th Five-Year Plan period," said Qi Dongfeng, deputy director of the Development and Reform Commission of Xinjiang.
