The eurozone's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate eased to 6.2 percent in March 2026 from 6.3 percent in February 2026, in line with market expectations, according to Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union (EU).
In the broader EU, the jobless rate came in at 6.0 percent in March 2026, stable compared with February 2026 and with March 2025.
Eurostat estimates that 13.226 million people in the EU, of whom 10.984 million in the eurozone, were unemployed in March 2026.
The eurozone consists of 21 member states in the 27-member EU that have adopted the euro as their currency.
