Putin wraps up China visit, leaves Beijing

Russian President Vladimir Putin left Beijing on Wednesday night, concluding his state visit to China.

During the visit, President Putin and President Xi Jinping held in-depth, friendly and fruitful talks, conducted strategic communication on a series of major issues, signed and issued the joint statement on further strengthening comprehensive strategic coordination and deepening good-neighborliness and friendly cooperation, and witnessed the conclusion of 20 cooperation documents in areas such as economy and trade, education, and science and technology.

The two sides also issued the joint statement on advocating a multipolar world and new type of international relations, and signed 20 cooperation documents in other areas. This year marks the 30th anniversary of the China-Russia strategic partnership of coordination and the 25th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Good-Neighborliness and Friendly Cooperation Between China and Russia. The two heads of state jointly decided to extend this treaty again.

At the invitation of Xi, Putin paid a state visit to China from May 19 to 20. This was Putin's 25th visit to China.

Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday visited a photo exhibition that celebrates the everlasting friendship between the two countries.

The exhibition, jointly hosted by China's Xinhua News Agency and Russia's TASS News Agency, was held at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.

Touring the exhibition, Xi and Putin recalled the moments of friendly exchanges and cooperation between the two countries in recent years.
