China is opposed to exclusive small circles and bloc confrontation, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning reiterated at a press briefing in Beijing on Thursday.
Mao made the statement in response to a media query about the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) criticizing the hostile stance of the Quadrilateral Security Dialog (Quad), which includes the U.S., Japan, India, and Australia.
"China has repeatedly stated its position on the so-called Quad. We always oppose forming exclusive small circles and engaging in bloc confrontation. On the Korean Peninsula issue, China's position and policies remain consistent and stable," she said.
