League of Arab States Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul-Gheit on Sunday condemned Israel's "brutal aggression" in Lebanon, calling for an immediate ceasefire.
Israel's actions violate Lebanon's sovereignty and international law, including the international humanitarian law, Aboul-Gheit said in a social media post.
Jamal Roshdi, the spokesman for Aboul-Gheit, has said in a statement that Israel's actions need to be immediately stopped as they seriously threaten regional security and stability.
He also urged Israel to halt attacks and fully implement the United Nations Security Council Resolution 1701.
"Israel's military escalation in Lebanon has killed and displaced civilians, destroyed infrastructure, and eroded space for diplomacy. It must end," UK Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper said in a social media post on Sunday.
She also urged Hezbollah to end attacks on Israel and disarm, and called on all sides to respect the ceasefire and engage with negotiations in good faith.
German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul on Sunday expressed "great concern" over the further advance of the Israeli army in southern Lebanon, urging all conflict parties to immediately cease hostilities and return to an agreed ceasefire.
In a statement, Wadephul noted that while the Israeli military action is a reaction to ongoing attacks by Hezbollah on northern Israel, any further escalation will aggravate an already tense situation and trigger new waves of displacement within Lebanon.
If civilians are the ones who pay the price of a military escalation and parts of Lebanon become permanently uninhabitable, it will not make Israel's neighborhood safer in the long term, he said.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said earlier on the day that he had instructed the military to deepen and expand its grip on Lebanese areas held by Hezbollah.
The instruction followed the capture of the Beaufort Ridge, including the strategic castle at its summit, in southern Lebanon by Israeli forces.
Calling the seizure of the Beaufort "a dramatic stage and a dramatic shift" in Israel's policy, Netanyahu said that the Israeli army will continue military operations across multiple fronts in Syria, the Gaza Strip, and Lebanon.

Yancheng City, a famous hub for crayfish production in Jiangsu that hosts crayfish festivals every summer, is also screening Su Super League games at the festival site and offering special discounts tied to the matches.
The month-long food festival is expected to attract more than 300,000 visitors and drive over 30 million yuan (about 4.4 million U.S. dollars) in combined sales from catering, retail, and related sectors.
The 2026 Northeast China City Football League, popularly dubbed the "Northeast Super League," is also underway, drawing fans from across the country.

"On the busiest day, we sold 500 or 600 chicken racks. The three of us couldn't keep up. Now, people from all over the country are coming to Shenyang. I'm really looking forward to the game on June 13, and I will stock up for it," said Ma Jixing, a vendor.
According to the schedule, the Shenyang team will host the team of the Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture on June 13.
