Leading Chinese robotics firm Unitree Robotics opened Asia's first robotics experience center in Shanghai on Sunday, giving visitors a chance to interact up close with embodied AI products.

Many tech enthusiasts travel from afar just to experience the lively atmosphere.

"I flew here early this morning and arrived at 9:30. I came straight here. I've actually already bought some of these products," said a tech fan from Beijing.

The humanoid robot R1 has become a focus at the center, attracting visitors with its agile movements. Meanwhile, the company's quadruped robot Go2, dressed in a lifelike "panda cub suit," also enjoys great popularity.

"It's quite realistic. My daughter is very interested in it and she didn't realize it's a robot at all," said a local resident.

Some tech fans are drawn to the emotional value offered by this panda-themed skin and even placed orders on the spot. "It's over 3000 yuan (about 443.37 U.S. dollars). It's very cute and novel. I'll put it on my robot dog first to see if it looks good. Of course, it has emotional value," said another local resident.

The offline experience center will launch more product debut events in the future, according to Unitree's executives.

"This is our first attempt to open an offline embodied intelligence experience center. In the future, we will also launch some newer humanoid and quadruped robot models in the store," said Li Binjie, senior vice president of Unitree Robotics. Data show that Unitree's humanoid robot shipments exceeded 5,500 units in 2025, ranking top in the world, and its global market share for quadruped robots remained stable at between 60 and 70 percent in the year.

A proposed bill on the management of the Strait of Hormuz has entered the review stage at Iran's Supreme National Security Council and will be submitted to parliament for debate and voting after final conclusions are reached, Iran's semi-official Mehr News Agency reported on Wednesday.

No details about the bill's contents were disclosed.

According to the report, work on the legislation has been underway for some time. In addition to the parliamentary review process, several specialized parliamentary committees have participated in studying and assessing the proposal, including the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, the Construction Committee, and the Councils and Internal Affairs Committee.

The report said the committees and several lawmakers had previously submitted separate proposals and drafts. Following a process of coordination and consolidation, a unified text has been prepared and is awaiting further review.
