Hong Kong's stock market ended lower Thursday with the benchmark Hang Seng Index down 1.48 percent to close at 25,253.4 points.
The Hang Seng China Enterprises Index fell 1.1 percent to end at 8,501.91 points, and the Hang Seng Tech Index fell 1.61 percent to end at 4,975.36 points.

The central parity rate of the Chinese currency renminbi, or the yuan, strengthened 46 pips to 6.8157 against the U.S. dollar Friday, according to the China Foreign Exchange Trade System.
In China's spot foreign exchange market, the yuan is allowed to rise or fall by 2 percent from the central parity rate each trading day.
The central parity rate of the yuan against the U.S. dollar is based on a weighted average of prices offered by market makers before the opening of the interbank market each business day.
