Russia said on Monday that its forces continued their offensive in multiple regions over the past day, while Ukraine claimed repelling attacks from the Russian side.
The Russian Ministry of Defense said in its latest report that its troops continued offensive operations in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, Lyman in Donetsk region and Kostiantynivka, with several residential areas and buildings under control. They also conducted mop-up operations against scattered Ukrainian units.
Russian air defense forces claimed to have shot down 12 guided aviation bombs as well as 415 fixed-wing drones.
On the same day, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported 249 clashes along the front line in the past day, saying Ukrainian troops repelled Russian assaults in multiple directions.
Ukrainian air forces, missile units and artillery troops launched attacks on five Russian troop concentration areas and four command posts, shooting down 1,724 Russian drones.
Three people were killed and 13 others injured in drone strikes in the Donetsk region on Monday, regional leader Denis Pushilin said in a post published on the Russian social media platform Max, blaming the attacks on Ukrainian forces.
Pushilin noted the strikes also damaged a residential building, five civilian infrastructure facilities, a bus, several trucks and passenger vehicles across multiple municipal districts.
