Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) Navy ships Nanning and Hengyang entered the waters of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region on Thursday morning.
The two vessels will be open for public visits at the PLA Hong Kong Garrison's naval base on Stonecutters Island over the next five days.
From Friday to Sunday, the two vessels will be open to Hong Kong and Macao residents at the naval base and hold interactive exchange activities, including training demonstrations.
The visit will help compatriots in Hong Kong and Macao gain a more direct and in-depth understanding of the development of China's national defense and military construction in the new era, according to the Ministry of National Defense.
