Former Thai Deputy Prime Minister Phinij Jarusombat on Thursday praised the Communist Party of China's (CPC) governance achievements as it marked its 105th founding anniversary, highlighting its consistent focus on putting the people's interests and well-being at the center of its work.

"I believe its greatest achievement in leading China's development has been its strong and steadfast ideology. The Party has consistently placed the interests and well-being of the people at the center of its governance," Phinij, also Chairman of the Thai-Chinese Cultural Relationship Council, told China Global Television Network (CGTN) in an interview.

The former deputy prime minister noted that the policies and governance of the CPC and the Chinese government have influenced global political, economic, security, and development landscapes. He also said China's experience in poverty reduction and modernization provided valuable references for many developing countries.

"Looking ahead, I hope to see even closer exchanges and cooperation between political parties around the world and the Communist Party of China. China's remarkable achievements in national development, economic growth, and improving the quality of life of [its] people have attracted widespread international interest," said Phinij.

Tens of thousands of migratory birds have recently settled at a wetland and surrounding lakes in Tongbai County of central China's Henan Province.

Egrets, cattle egrets and night herons are now breeding and raising their young there, with most chicks already hatched.

Thanks to improved ecological conditions in recent years, the area, with its abundant aquatic resources, has become an ideal habitat for nesting and foraging.
