Russia on Tuesday said its forces had taken control of a settlement in the Kharkov region, while Ukraine claimed attacks on Russian military industrial facilities.

Russia's Defense Ministry said its forces had seized the settlement of Petro-Ivanovka in Kharkov over the past day. The ministry also reported strikes on Ukrainian port infrastructure, energy facilities, logistics centers, and temporary deployment sites of Ukrainian troops and foreign mercenaries.

Meanwhile, Russian air defense systems shot down two Neptune long-range guided missiles and 797 fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles. Russia's Black Sea Fleet destroyed six Ukrainian unmanned surface vessels, it added.

On the same day, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that Russian forces had launched 88 attacks on Ukrainian positions as of 16:00 Tuesday. Ukrainian troops repelled multiple attacks in the directions of Konstantinovka, Sloviansk and Lyman, the statement said.

The Ukrainian military also reported carrying out strikes on two Russian defense industry enterprises in the Bryansk region, a fuel depot at Belgorod airport, and a railway bridge in Crimea.
