The United States has offered rewards of up to 10 million U.S. dollars for information on top Iranian military commanders, as Washington intensifies pressure on Tehran.

According to a statement on the U.S. State Department's website released on Monday, the bounty targets five individuals, including Ahmad Vahidi, commander-in-chief of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), and Ali Abdollahi, commander of Khatam-al Anbiya Central Headquarters, Iran's top operational and joint military command headquarters.

The latest U.S. reward list now includes 14 figures.

In March, the U.S. offered a bounty for information on Iran's Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei and other senior Iranian political and military officials.

Chief Commander of the Iranian Army Amir Hatami announced in mid-August that any Iranian who captures or kills a U.S. "aggressor" would receive a 30,000-U.S.-dollar reward from the "Iranian people."
