China's STAR Composite Index closes lower Wednesday

The STAR Composite Index, which reflects the performance of stocks on China's sci-tech innovation board, closed 3.48 percent lower at 2,185.42 points on Wednesday.

The STAR 50 Index, which tracks the 50 largest stocks listed on the board that also meet certain liquidity requirements, closed 4.25 percent lower at 1,924.27 points.

The sci-tech innovation board, commonly known as the STAR Market, was inaugurated in June 2019 at Shanghai Stock Exchange. It is designed to support companies in the high-tech and strategic emerging sectors.

Released by the China Manned Space Agency (CMSA), the video clip offers a spectacular bird's-eye view of the planet's diverse landscapes.

The Tiangong space station is now crewed by the Shenzhou-23 mission, which comprises three astronauts sent into space on May 24. The mission is notable for including a one-year in-orbit stay experiment, which will provide crucial data for future long-duration space exploration.
