Iranian president orders legal pursuit of US attacks on Iran's transport infrastructure

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on Sunday described U.S. attacks on civilian transportation infrastructure as a clear violation of international law and war crimes, stressing that the issue should be followed through relevant international organizations and legal channels.

Pezeshkian made the remarks during a meeting with officials of the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development in Tehran, where he was briefed on the condition of transportation networks, the process of supplying and distributing essential goods, customs operations, road conditions and measures taken to maintain the stability of transportation services.

In her report, Minister of Roads and Urban Development Farzaneh Sadegh also detailed extensive damages to ports, border terminals, bridges, highways, railways, logistics facilities, and other key infrastructure following U.S. attacks.

Pezeshkian stressed the need to speed up reconstruction plans, activate alternative routes, reinforce transportation networks, and ensure the uninterrupted delivery of essential services.

He underscored the importance of expanding regional cooperation and strengthening infrastructure links with neighboring countries.

U.S. and Ukrainian officials are discussing an air truce proposal that they plan to present to Russia, according to sources from Ukraine on Sunday.

They intend to submit the proposal to Russia within the framework of a new round of peace initiative.

Previously, Ukraine had put forward a similar ceasefire initiative to Russia, but was rejected by the Russian side.
