European stocks closed mixed across the board on Wednesday.
The United Kingdom's FTSE 100 index rose 0.08 percent to close at 10,888.30 points. France's CAC 40 index gained 0.03 percent to finish at 8,669.30 points. Germany's DAX index dropped 0.29 percent to end the session at 26,126.30 points.

U.S. stocks ended mixed on Wednesday.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 263.24 points, or 0.49 percent, to 54,349.12. The S and P 500 sank 12.97 points, or 0.17 percent, to 7,723.55. The Nasdaq Composite Index shed 221.554 points, or 0.83 percent, to 26,363.439.
Six of the 11 primary S and P 500 sectors ended in green, with materials and health leading the gainers by adding 1.54 percent and 1.34 percent, respectively. Meanwhile, communication services and energy led the laggards by going down 2.39 percent and 2.03 percent, respectively.
