The Trump administration has paid out about 100 billion USD in tariff refunds since the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in February to strike down its use of emergency economic powers to levy heavy taxes on trading partners, according to a UK media report on Tuesday.

The sum represents nearly 60 percent of the total 165 billion USD collected through the so-called "Liberation Day" tariffs.
