The U.S. dollar weakened in late trading on Wednesday.
The dollar index, which measures the greenback against six major peers, fell 0.18 percent to 99.676 at 1900 GMT.
In late New York trading, the euro rose to 1.1553 dollars from 1.1533 dollars in the previous session, and the British pound was up to 1.3469 dollars from 1.3452 dollars in the previous session.
The U.S. dollar bought 157.67 Japanese yen, higher than 157.66 Japanese yen in the previous session. The U.S. dollar lost to 0.8069 Swiss francs from 0.8092 Swiss francs, and it dropped to 1.4008 Canadian dollars from 1.4066 Canadian dollars.
The U.S. dollar decreased to 9.4832 Swedish kronor from 9.5192 Swedish kronor.
