China's corporate credit status maintains steady momentum in H1

Chinese enterprises maintained a generally steady credit standing in the first half of this year, the State Administration for Market Regulation said on Wednesday.

The China Enterprise Credit Index, released by the administration on the day, stood at 161.88 in the first six months of the year, edging down 0.04 points from the second half of last year, yet rising 0.27 points from the same period of 2025.

Data also showed that the financial sector, the electricity, heat, gas and water production and supply sector, the education sector, the manufacturing sector, and the sector of water conservancy, environment and public utilities all demonstrated high credit index rankings in the January-June period.

The Qingdao Port in east China's Shandong Province opened a new container shipping route to Australia on Wednesday, reducing transit time to just 15 days.

It is the port's 16th newly launched container route so far this year.

The Qingdao Port now operates nearly 240 shipping routes, ranking the first among northern China's ports by route count. It has continuously expanded its international logistics network to connect over 700 ports in more than 180 other countries and regions worldwide.
