Final preparations are now underway for the 2nd World Humanoid Robot Games, which will take place in Beijing from August 22 to 26.

The event, jointly hosted by the Beijing municipal government and China Media Group (CMG), will be held at the National Speed Skating Oval, also known as the "Ice Ribbon".

It will bring together 666 teams and 2,056 robots, a 138 percent increase in team numbers compared with the inaugural edition in 2025.

The five-day program includes 30 competitive events spanning ball games and combat categories, plus 21 scenario-based challenges covering industrial assembly and home services.

Given the expanded schedule and diverse venues, the organizing committee has established training and charging facilities near each competition venue.

The first World Humanoid Robot Games, held in August 2025, attracted 280 teams and over 500 humanoid robots from 16 countries.
