Youth representatives from the Hong Kong Army Cadets Association, the Tsinghua University in Beijing and the Fudan University in Shanghai jointly held a flag-raising ceremony in Hong Kong on Saturday morning.
The organizer said that youth represent the future of the nation, and that the joint flag-raising ceremony will help deepen exchanges between young people from Hong Kong and the mainland, while fostering a deep love for the country.
"The flag-raising ceremony has deepened exchange and interaction between young people in our three places [Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong]," said Zhou Mi, a student from the Fudan University.
"I think the significance of this event is that the fellow students from the Tsinghua University and the Fudan University share the same heart and the same root as we do, and we all have the same purpose -- that is, to protect the national flag," said Choi Kai-leung, a high school student from Hong Kong.
Founded in 2015, the Hong Kong Army Cadets Association is the first youth uniform group in Hong Kong to train with Chinese-style footdrill as its core.

Guests attending the launch event for the documentary said the Azerbaijani version of the documentary holds significant importance, as it is an excellent example of cultural dialogue between China and Azerbaijan, generating extensive resonance between the two countries in terms of protecting and inheriting outstanding historical and cultural heritage.
At the event, CMG also introduced a number of its programs to Azerbaijan Television, a state-controlled national television station in Azerbaijan, including China Flash Forward, Chinese Craftsmanship, Song of the Yellow River, Herbal Legacy, The Wisdom of Wellness, and Wok This Way, which aroused great interest among the guests present.
