Production lines around the world have begun using humanoid robots developed in Ningbo City of east China's Zhejiang Province.
At a production facility for Beko, a Turkish home appliance giant, humanoid robots from the Ningbo-based Zhejiang Humanoid Robot Innovation Center have been assigned as quality inspectors. They are capable of opening refrigerator doors and scanning and inspecting the inside.
According to the innovation center, the robots are increasingly drawing attention from producers like Beko precisely because of their wide-ranging capabilities.
"We have established a relatively comprehensive product portfolio that allows us to promote the robots' application in various sectors," said Xiong Rong, founder and chief scientist at the innovation center.
At this year's Hannover Messe 2026, the world's leading trade fair for industrial technology held in Germany, the center joined hands with Schneider Electric to launch a wheel-arm humanoid robot, which combines a mobile wheeled base with a human-like upper body featuring actuated arms.
The robot can precisely operate a pipette to complete the entire process, including sampling, analysis, and cleaning, with a success rate as high as 99.99 percent. That capability attracted significant attention from numerous visitors at the exhibition.
"This year, we also fulfilled an order from a leading global logistics company to help it handle the transport and sorting of bins between different racks. We also have products used for solution preparation in the bio-pharmaceutical sector," said Xiong.
