China's electricity consumption increased by 1.7 percent year on year to reach 1.04 trillion kilowatt-hours (kWh) in July this year, according to the data released by the National Energy Administration on Friday.
Electricity consumption in high tech and equipment manufacturing industries, battery swapping and charging services, as well as internet data services all maintained relatively rapid growth, the data showed.
The total electricity consumption stood at 6.14 trillion kWh in the first seven months of this year, rising by 4.7 percent year on year, according to the data.
