Inaugural meeting of China-Indonesia Comprehensive Strategic Dialogue Mechanism held in Jakarta

The first Conference of China-Indonesia Comprehensive Strategic Dialogue Mechanism was held in Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia, on Friday.

The meeting brings together the foreign and defense ministers from both sides, with Foreign Minister Wang Yi heading the Chinese delegation.

Wang, also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, is in Indonesia at the invitation of Indonesian Foreign Minister Sugiono. This marks Wang's first visit to Indonesia in two years.

Hong Kong's stock market ended higher Friday with the benchmark Hang Seng Index up 1.21 percent to close at 26,009.46 points.

The Hang Seng China Enterprises Index gained 1.01 percent to 8,634.34 points, while the Hang Seng Tech Index increased by 1.40 percent to 4,766.16 points.
