Major media in SCO countries broadcast multilingual 'Classics Quoted by Xi Jinping'

Mainstream media outlets in member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) aired the multilingual version of China Media Group (CMG)'s production "Classics Quoted by Xi Jinping" on Sunday.

The program's launch event was held in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan.

Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov sent a congratulatory letter on the program's launch. Askat Alagozov, spokesman for the President of Kyrgyzstan, attended the launch event and read out the congratulatory letter.

Shen Haixiong, vice minister of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee and director of CMG, and Ulanbek Satiev, director general of the National Television and Radio Broadcasting Corporation of the Kyrgyz Republic, also attended the event and delivered speeches.

More than 100 guests, including prominent figures from political, economic, cultural, and media circles of SCO member states, were present at the event.

The guests said at the event that the program, by introducing Xi's philosophical thought and using vivid visual language, deeply explained China's valuable experience in improving global governance, injecting momentum into deepening exchanges and cooperation among SCO media outlets, further enhancing friendship among the people of SCO countries, and promoting vigorous development of cooperation in various fields.

The program selects ancient Chinese classics and quotations cited by President Xi in his important speeches, articles and conversations.

The quotes focus on economic development, technological innovation, ecological civilization, and social livelihood. The program highlights the historical and cultural foundations of Xi's governing philosophy while showcasing China's experience in addressing global challenges.

Slovo Kyrgyzstana, the Kyrgyz government's official newspaper, published news of the program's broadcast on its front page. Mainstream media outlets in SCO members, including Russia's Big Asia, also broadcast related reports.

From Aug. 30 to Sept. 3, Xi will attend the SCO Summit 2026 in Bishkek and pay state visits to Kyrgyzstan and Egypt at the invitation of Kyrgyzstan President Sadyr Japarov and Egypt President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
