CMG releases English version of 4th episode of "Classics Quoted by Xi Jinping"

China Media Group (CMG) has released the English version of a TV program "Classics Quoted by Xi Jinping" during Chinese President Xi Jinping's attendance at the 2026 Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan, which runs from Aug. 31 to Sept. 1.

The program selects ancient Chinese classics and quotations cited by President Xi in his important speeches, articles and conversations.

The quotes focus on economic development, technological innovation, ecological civilization, and social livelihood. The program highlights the historical and cultural foundations of Xi's governing philosophy while showcasing China's experience in addressing global challenges.

International gold and silver prices closed lower on Monday.

On the New York Mercantile Exchange, gold futures for December delivery dropped 1.07 percent to settle at 4,481.50 U.S. dollars per ounce, while silver futures for December delivery lost 1.17 percent to close at 66.990 dollars per ounce.
